Caribbean International School

(1983 – 2021)

The Caribbean International School is located in the province of Colon. It´s a nonprofit, Cognia accredited, bilingual and multicultural institution, dedicated to providing quality education in an environment in which each student can develop their full potential.

It was founded on April 24, 1983, by a group of Panamanian community leaders and international residents in the city of Colon, for the need and desire of these families to provide their children with a quality bilingual education on the Atlantic side of the country.

The school began classes with only three (3) students, and throughout the years the school has grown having an enrollment of over 640 students in grades pre-school, elementary, junior high school, and high school: limiting the number to 25 students per classroom.

Students once completed their studies until the 12th.

will receive a Bilingual Bachelor of Science and Liberal Arts degree and a Bilingual Business Certification.

The Caribbean International School, representing more than sixteen (16) nationalities, promotes cultural values, encourages religious understanding, and stimulates the development of good relations with other schools and organizations around the world.

The student population ranges from Nursery through Twelfth grade. The school community is made up of students and staff from different countries, among which we can mention: Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, China, Ecuador, Spain, United States of America, Honduras, India, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Taiwan and Venezuela.
